An interesting experiment. Ask the people you interact with (people you can ask without freaking them out) during the day the following two questions:

What do you think when you hear the name Jesus?
What do you think when you hear the word Christian?

Notice how different the reponses are.

This has been something that I am really struggling with. I think we may have hit on it a little in our last phone convo… its so hard for me to see how judgemental and harsh some Christians are. I remember when you were out here some of the awful things that were said and things that happend all within the church. Some of THE MOST difficult things I have suffered through are results of gcc’s members. Of course I am not perfect but I can say that most people who know me wouldnt say I think im better than others. I feel like thats the hardest thing about some christians atittudes. They hold themselves all high and mighty… I imagian that in itself could be a huge turnoff to anyone curious about Christianity.

You make a good point, Jessica. Ironically, a lot of Christian’s attitudes are nothing like Jesus’ attitude…which is the very point Gandhi was making.
